I have been waiting for this anime a really long time,

OMG, this anime is rough… (o.O)
This anime goes HARD, if you couldn’t handle the first episode of goblin slayer this is about 10 times worse. I read the manga before hand so I knew what I was getting into, I would definitely give it a try though.
I’m with you on the Goblin Slayer. I watched the first ep then left it for a while(4-5 days). Then I got more mature about stuff then it didn’t bother me.

Dark!, and good! If you sick of hero stories being all rainbows and butterflies this is a good one to watch. Kinda like Goblin slayer meets shield hero if the hero had his mind completely break from pressure early on. Avoid this if your don’t like rape and violence, otherwise it’s great!

I love this manga/anime as it’s all about getting vicious revenge on all the people that royally screwed him over in his “past life” both literally and figuratively. There are no other animes like that.

Revenge plots only really work if the protagonist is more likeable than the antagonists, and when it comes to this anime, that’s not really the case…
Having a dark and twisted lead is not a bad thing but it has to be handled with some form of maturity, otherwise it just feels like an angsty teenager wrote the script.
Cool idea, very bad execution.

so…comparatively speaking the Hero of the Blade received the worst death as retribution of the MC’s revenge and she didnt even do the worst things to him…maybe its different in the manga but im highly disappointed with that. Flare and Norn did the worst things to him and his friends, but relatively they get off Scott free, they only get fluffed and whatever actual pain he does cause them is erased from their memories. I have to disagree. Flare and her sister used him as thier toy for thier sadistic amusement, while the sword hero used him and beat him just to satiate her obsession with Flare. I agree her death was pretty brutal but as we saw she didn’t have any problems destroying the lives of the girls she kidnapped and raped. So I’d say it was deserved. I personally can’t wait to see what he has in store for Bullet. The one who raped, beat, and tortured him to get his jollies.
Flare and Norn are being used like toys but the key difference is they are not conscious of it and they infact enjoy it. while the MC was being used by both of them he had to consciously suffer through it the entire time. thats my only point. they are spared suffering and I just don’t agree with that story wise. I also am looking forward the Bullets death, I will be disappointed though if its not as Brutal or more insanely cruel as Blades death though.
